Do you buy wedding dresses, prom, & pageant dresses? We do not buy anything outright from the public. We are a seasonal consignment business open once a year with fantastic results for our clients.
What is seasonal consignment? Consignment is the act of consigning, which is placing any material in the hand of another, but retaining ownership until the goods are sold and is done every Spring with us.
What can I consign with SBC? We consign wedding, prom, pageant, bridesmaid, and black tie gowns that one would wear to any FORMAL event! Please do NOT bring regular clothing, accessories, or shoes. It will be declined at drop off.

How do I consign with SBC? Simply go to our website, register as a consignor and pay the admin fee. Log in your items you’d like to sell and pick your prices, too. (We are the only place in Knoxville that allows YOU the consignor to decide what you want to sell your gowns for and keeps a percentage.) Drop off your items with us and track your sales via the website. If your items sell, your earnings will be sent via PayPal or Venmo within 2 weeks after we close. If you choose a regular check, a $5.00 fee will be charged. If some of your items do not sell, simply come pick them up after the sale is over on the designated date and time or choose to donate them to local girls in need.
Why should I consign with SBC? Why wouldn’t I just sell my gown on CraigsList or Facebook yard sale groups? We offer a fun, clean, safe, haggle-free shopping environment for our sellers/shoppers. We go to extraordinary lengths to put on a fabulous event for Knoxville and the surrounding Counties. We spend countless hours and funds on marketing, networking, and promoting to make this the great event that it’s become. It is worth the wait to consign with us. We attract the caliber of customer you are looking for to buy your gowns at prices you want.
What is my percentage? 60%, unless you volunteer. Then it is higher. You also determine your own pricing. We would never take that away from our customers.
Who is SBC? SBC is owned/operated by ONE gal, JOY SABO! She runs every single aspect of this business with the help of her beloved Mother and a fabulous group of volunteers.
What do you do with the donated items? All donated items are picked up by various pre-qualified charities and given away in the Knoxville and surrounding Counties. We pick different charities every year in hopes of spreading out the donations from year to year. We are a locally owned small business and want to give back and into our local community. We help local Gals in need of Formals that can’t necessarily afford them on their own.
